1898, Brisbane
The Langfords story traces back to 1898 Brisbane, with humble beginnings trading goods like watches, jewellery and silverware. Our first store on Stanley Street in Woolloongabba, laid the foundation for several stores and generations to come, including an expansion to the Gold Coast by the 1960s.
Pictured is John Langford-Ely Snr at his watchmaker's bench. His eye for quality saw Langfords become the first in Australia to import Citizen, and by the late 1950s, Langfords began its longstanding association with Rolex through the sale of the iconic Rolex Oyster. More than six decades later, we continue to uphold the standards you would expect of a dedicated Rolex boutique. As one of Queensland’s longest-running family jewellers, Langfords has established an internationally recognised reputation and an unprecedented selection of one of the world’s most esteemed luxury watch brands.
